A plastic packet filled with 7 paper tubes of kombu dashi (seaweed soup stock), portion size. Great for vegetarians, this soup stock contains no meat, but seaweed. Use with miso paste to make miso soup, or with soy sauce and red pepper to make Chige. Can also be used in soup bases for noodle dishes. Highly versatile and important in Japanese cooking.

How To Use

For 3 person servings:

For clear soups- 1/4 stick and 450ml water
For noodle tsuyu- 1 stick and 750ml water
For boiled dishes- 1/2 stick and 450ml water
For sunomono- 1/4 stick
For ochazuke- 1 1/2 sticks
For yudofu- 1/2 stick and 750ml water
